Introduces the methodological and theoretical underpinnings of archaeology. The goals of archaeological research, and the techniques used to extract data from the archaeological record are discussed. The lab involves hands-on experience with archaeological materials. Sophomore standing recommended. No credit for both ANTHRO 2020 and ANTHRO 2021.
