Math Reasoning Proficiency Requirements

Under general education program guidelines, a course which demonstrates math reasoning proficiency is required of all MU students. Using college algebra as a prerequisite, this course requires students to use mathematical skills or reasoning in particular areas of disciplinary interest.

To receive credit for taking a mathematics reasoning proficiency (MRP) course, students must earn a grade in the C-range or better. These courses are designated "MP" in the Schedule of Courses.
