The human fascination with animals is documented throughout history. The impact of domesticated animals, and the livestock industry, on the human condition has been the focus of numerous authors across diverse literary genres. The care we provide for animals reflects the value we place on life, and often how we view society. This course will explore these themes while using varied fictional and non-fictional texts written in the 20th century. Prerequisites: ENGLSH 1000.
