Oral tradition is a form of human communication through which ideas, knowledge, art, and cultural material is received, preserved, and transmitted orally from one generation to another or from one person to another. May include such folklore genres as ballads, chants, folktales, jokes, legends, myths, proverbs, prose, or verses. Prerequisites: ENGLSH 1000 and sophomore standing.
