This course covers the basics of painting for non-School of Visual Studies majors. It offers an opportunity for students to work with some of the ideas, materials, and techniques of paint as visual language within a context of historical and contemporary painting. In addition to making, students engage in research as well as the critique process. Sections either in oil or acrylic; contact instructor. Prerequisites: Restricted to NON-School of Visual Studies majors only. Recommended: ART_VS 1050.
