Laboratory section that goes along with the first of two-course sequence emphasizing principles and applications of modern chemical sciences. Covers chemical nomenclature, stoichiometry, kinetic molecular theory, atomic structure, periodic properties, and molecular structure and bonding. Satisfies laboratory science requirement. No credit for CHEM 1320 and CHEM 1400/CHEM 1401. Prerequisites: MATH 1100. MATH 1050 is NOT an appropriate substitution for College Algebra. Prerequisites or Corequisites: CHEM 1400.
