World Cinema introduces students to the history of international cinema. The course focuses on particular cinematic movements and national cinemas as case studies for trends and trajectories that also characterize the national and non-Hollywood cinemas not covered in the course. Examines the relationship of form and genre to individual national, or localized, cultural contexts. No credit for students who have completed FILMS_VS 2820. No credit for film majors or minors. Graded on A-F basis only.
