This course is the fourth class in the Behavioral Science Sequence and explores the important but often overlooked connection between emotions and public health through a multidisciplinary lens. Drawing from psychology, sociology, public health, and other disciplines, students will examine how emotional experiences shape and are shaped by social structures, personal identity, biological processes, and public health policies. Topics include stress and hypervigilance, positive psychology, stigma, nostalgia, grief, and much more. Prerequisites: Honors eligibility required.
