Helping Skills in Human Services

This course introduces students to foundational relationship-building skills essential for work in helping professions. Through experiential learning, students will explore ethical principles, interpersonal techniques, and intrapersonal strategies for engaging successfully with people of all ages and with a variety of relationships. Emphasis is placed on applying these skills in human services contexts and engaging with relevant professional trainings. Graded on A-F basis only. Recommended: H_D_FS 1610.
