Accessible Learning and Information Environments

(cross-leveled with IS_LT 7470). This course provides an in-depth exploration of accessibility in educational and information environments, with a focus on creating inclusive and accessible learning experiences. Students will develop a foundational understanding of accessibility laws and policies and will apply the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards to select, create, and test accessible digital content. The course will emphasize the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework and the importance of building an equitable learning environment for all rather than accommodating specific users. Graded on A-F basis only.
