(same as FILMS_VS 2850). It offers a historical overview of Italian Cinema from the silent era to the present. The course will provide the analytical skills necessary to read and critically analyze a film. Social and historical issues will be raised and examined for each film as appropriate. No knowledge of Italian required. Prerequisites: sophomore standing.
