Music and the Movies

This course explores the dynamic relationship between music and cinema. Students will examine how music enhances storytelling, shapes emotional responses, defines characters, and contributes to the overall impact of film. Through a variety of film clips and screenings, listening examples, and discussions, students will develop a deeper understanding of the collaborative art of filmmaking and the crucial role music plays within it. No prior musical experience is necessary.
