The course is conceived as an interdisciplinary route for undergraduates to explore key aspects of the modern history of Central Asia and Afghanistan. The course offers students a valuable opportunity to experience the culture and diversity of Central Asia and Afghanistan and to analyze current events and policy decisions in which the West, including the United States, are involved. The course is open to students of any major at the University of Missouri. Graded on A-F basis only. Recommended: PEA_ST 1050, PEA_ST 2016, PEA_ST 2021.
