This burgeoning digital revolution extends its profound impact across the broad spectrum of various industries, from private enterprise to government agencies, and even to nonprofit organizations. The influence of AI is so pervasive and all-encompassing that their effects will likely induce dramatic shifts and evolution in our daily routines, professional norms, and even societal structures. This course is designed to unravel the complexities of AI, especially for students from social sciences, public policy, and humanities. It is not limited to those with a technical background. The course aim to provide a broad yet detailed understanding of AI and its significance. Additionally, the course acts as a guide, merging technology with social science and public policy. It balances theoretical knowledge with practical applications, equipping students with the skills to apply AI in addressing societal and policy issues. Graded on A-F basis only.
