(cross-leveled with SOC_WK 7480). This course provides foundational knowledge and skills in working with older adults and their families. Emphasis is placed on assessment strategies and intervention techniques with these populations. The interrelationship between the older adult, the family, organizations, and society is explored, as these factors affect all levels of practice. Students gain practical skill that can be applied to multidisciplinary practice settings, such as the health and social sciences. Prerequisites: Junior standing.
