The purpose of this course is to provide teachers with knowledge regarding current research and issues specific to educating students with disabilities in the area of writing and content literacy. Topics will include historical and contemporary perspectives on writing instruction and assessment, and implementation of evidence-based practice to improve handwriting, spelling, writing skills, and content literacy. Graded on A-F basis only.
