This course focuses on designing products that are functional, accessible, and meaningful for people of all backgrounds and abilities. This course explores human-centered design principles with a special focus on user-centered design. Students will engage in hands-on design projects and prototyping. Students will be able to apply human-centered design principles to their specific area of study using a variety of materials. Guest speakers from a diverse design backgrounds will engage with students as they explore their design practices. No prior design experience is required. Graded on A-F basis only. Prerequisites: Honors eligibility required.
