This course provides an introduction to the various segments of agricultural communications. Students develop verbal, written, and visual communication skills through hands-on learning methods and gain insight into how these techniques are utilized in the context of agriculture. Emphasis is placed on gaining a historical perspective of agricultural communications, where agricultural communications is today, and what it might look like in the future. Students will be exposed to basic communication theories and will focus on the different types of communications including interpersonal, mediated interpersonal, organizational, and mass media. This course is designed for students with a background or strong interest in agriculture. Recommended: ENGLSH 1000.
