Survey of general principles and basic concepts of life science, emphasizing applications to society and the human condition. Lectures address science literacy and critical thinking and laboratory exercises use representative organisms to complement lecture topics. Prerequisite: MATH 1100/1120 or concurrent enrollment. This course is intended for non-science majors.
