Black Studies - College of Arts and Science

(same as Sociology [SOCIOL] 4230 and Women's and Gender Studies [WGST]4300). Examines the history and structure of "development" discourse and practices. Stresses the interconnections and impact on women globally. Reviews women's strategies in defining and instituting programs to improve quality of life in communities. Prerequisites: Sociology [SOCIOL] 2200, Women's and Gender Studies [WGST] 1332, Black Studies [BL_STU] 2110, or Women's and Gender Studies [WGST] 4420.
